Negosentro | The Rising Economy Of Isabela: The Bambanti Festival 2024! | One of the most anticipated tourist destinations in the Philippines, both for residents and visitors from other countries, is traditional places. It is undeniable that every province with a traditional place has its unique celebration. By the way, what is a Festival in the Philippines? Festivals, with their kaleidoscope of colors adorning the streets, and the rhythmic beat of the drums, show the vibrant past and the heart of the Filipino people.
Ettam Ngana Ta Isabela, which translates to “Tara na sa Isabela” in Filipino, is an Ibanag (also Ybanag and Ybanak or Ibanak) phrase that means “Let’s go to Isabela.” Additionally, the Province of Isabela’s Bambanti Festival in 2024 will have this topic as its theme. The immense rice and corn fields of the Cagayan Valley are well-known. In the middle of these stunning fields, several scarecrows of various shapes and sizes watch over the crops to ensure that the harvest is plentiful. The scarecrow, called “antalaw” in Ibanag and “bambanti” in Ilocano, is a prominent representation of Isabela’s main industry. The human-like bodies dressed in cod clothes and placed in the midst of rice or corn fields act as a decoy for crows feasting on crops, withstanding the heat of the sun, the cold wind, heavy downpours, and all other natural phenomena.
While it appears scary Bambanti acts as a protector or sentinel of Isabela’s farms. In popular culture, the scarecrow is frequently portrayed as weird, unsettling, and mysterious. This is why Isabela celebrates the Bambanti Festival, to honor the essence of Isabela’s scarecrow’s protection to have an abundant crop throughout the seasons. So, let us now experience Isabela’s beauty and the amazing Bambanti Festival 2024.

With its abundant natural beauty and cultural legacy, Isabela welcomes you to discover its green plains, scenic forests, and energetic cities. Wonders of Isabela: Food, Heritage, Churches, and Many More!
One of Isabela’s objectives for having a strong economy is tourism. You may wonder what kinds of cuisine, culture, and tourism attractions the Isabeleños can offer. Here are a few of the most thrilling locations, activities, and cuisines in Isabela that you should visit.
1. Ilagan Japanese Garden

You will be happy to experience this when you visit since the area is surrounded by lovely trees, flowers, and scenery, and the breeze is cool and nice. Visitors can wear kimonos to round up their Japanese experience. The fabric used for kimonos is thick and heavy instead of linen or cotton, and the elaborate design made it difficult to wear. Overall though, you get a fantastic sense of Japan.
The lengthy narrative and historical details supporting Ilagan’s important importance and unique status in Isabela’s history during the Japanese Occupation were provided by the Ilagan Japanese Tunnel.
2. Ilagan Sanctuary

The newest attraction in Ilagan, Isabela, is the Ilagan Sanctuary. Adventurers and those seeking outdoor activities are advised to check out this tourist destination. The attractions at Ilagan Sanctuary include a waterpark resort, an animal zoo, and a variety of outdoor pursuits like go-karting, zip line, cable car, and ATVs. Additionally, there is Pinzall Falls exploration and cave jumping. Mayor Jay Diaz ensures that the original natural state of the 200 hectares of land being developed for this kind of attraction is also preserved.
3. Isabela Museum and Library

The Province of Isabela’s first museum and library is the Isabela Museum and Library. It is located in the Ilagan Capital City’s Barangay Osmeña. Architect Baltazar Gigatone designed a new, contemporary building that the Provincial Government restored from the 1946 original. The different faces of Isabel’s history are available within the Isabela Museum and Library. Additionally, there are collections of money from many historical periods and countries. The earliest copies of provincial board resolutions from roughly 1909 to the 1970s are also available. Isabela Museum and Library also exhibits the Diorama portraying the historic capture of General Emilio Aguinaldo in Palanan. It also exhibits Senator Heherson Alvarez’s memorabilia, governors’ memorabilia, and Tilamsik ng Liwanag.
4. Our Lady of Atocha Church and St. Rose of Lima Church
A trip to Isabela would not be complete without stopping at some of the province’s most famous churches. One of the most solemn places to spend some quiet time in prayer is Our Lady of Atocha Church, which is located in Alicia, Isabela. It appears that the architecture of the Our Lady of Atocha Church represents the Spanish church style known as the “Cagayan Style.” It’s fascinating to look at the exterior of the church because Ii is rigid and unyielding. Conversely, the altar is straightforward, and the inside is well-designed.
5. Bonsai No Sato

Feeling like you’re searching for a wedding in a garden? You might locate the ideal match for a wedding garden mood at Cauayan, Isabela. Let me present Bonsai No Sato. A bonsai is an ornamental tree or shrub that is purposely kept from growing to its full size while cultivated in a pot. It’s essentially a tree in a pot. You may find a variety of bonsai styles at Bonsai No Sato, including Han-Kengai, Bunjingi, Fukinagashi, Seki-joju, Ishisuki, and Sharimiki, as well as Chokkan, Moyogi, Shakkan, Sokan, Kabudachi, Yose-ue, Ikadabuki, and Hokidachi.
Additionally, Bonsai No Sato offers an all-you-can-eat grilling menu for just P299. A wide selection of options are available to you, including barbecue and pork liempo as well as a range of seafood like squid and hito.
6. Philippine Crocodile Conservation Center

With the opening of the Philippine Crocodile Conservation Center (PCCC) on the Isabela State University campus in San Mariano, the critically low number of Philippine crocodiles is probably going to increase. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Tourism, and the Mabuwaya Foundation are partners in the joint initiative of Isabela State University, the local government of San Mariano. A visitors’ facility and crocodile holding shelters make up the center. Raised in the center, crocodiles will be reintroduced into the wild to replenish the extremely tiny wild population of one of the world’s rarest species, the Philippine Crocodile.
7. Hacienda de San Luis

A historic Spanish tabacalera that was transformed into an adventure and eco-tourism park is called Hacienda de San Luis, one of Isabela’s attractions. Named for St. Louis, the patron saint of Spain, the hacienda was established in the 1880s. Sometimes referred to as “Bodega de Tabacco” or hacienda buying tobacco pushed out as a part of the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade during the Spanish colonial period. Situated alongside the hacienda is the most gorgeous section of the expedition: the museum, where you can witness the process of manufacturing tobaccos, sculptures such as St. Luis, and many works of art.

9. Pansit Cabagan

The Isabela journey is not complete unless you eat the savory and mouth-watering Pansit Cabagan. Pancit Cabagan is a tasty noodle dish from Isabela province that, like many other noodle meals in the Philippines, has Chinese origins. The saucy flavor, lechon, egg, and calamansi all complement each other, resulting in a superb pancit “putok batok” flavor. But that’s not all; you should also try pouring some vinegar on it to add extra flavor to Pansit Cabagan.
