Use your entire body
Even though you use your arms to make a swing and hit the ball, your entire body participates in making the perfect shot. Therefore, you should learn how to power the club with your entire body, instead of putting all the effort into your arms and hands. One of the best ways to do it, is to put the club behind the ball at address, and your body in a dead-stop position. Try to drag the ball into the air, but don’t take a backswing. Hinging of the wrist is crucial
To gain control over the length of the swing, which will help you create more solid contact, make sure a 45-degree angle is present between the left arm and the club shaft. You can easily practice chipping with the help of a wooden dowel. All you need to do is place the dowel through the hole on the top of the grip on a pitching wedge. Push the dowel about 8 to 12 inches down the butt end of the shaft, and you should notice two to three feet of the dowel extending outward from the top of the grip. After achieving that, you can start practicing your chipping motion while paying attention to your left wrist. It should remain rigid as the clubface passes through the impact zone. If you feel the protruding portion of the dowel hitting against your left side, it means that your left wrist broke down. Eliminate unnecessary moving parts
A key component of achieving golf consistency is to prevent backwards swaying in the backswing. Limited right, or trail, leg hip flexibility are often the causes of swaying, so make sure you control lateral sway. You can do this by making sure you feel your body’s weight stay on the inside of your trail foot at the top of the backswing. The minute you feel your weight shift to the outside of the foot, the consistency will be compromised. Only if you allow your back foot to come off of the ball as you transition to impact and follow through, will you ensure golf consistency.
To achieve the best shot, your weight should be positioned more forward at impact. This will allow the golf club to bottom out after you hit the ball, making your swing flawless. Therefore, always make sure your weight is centered or forward of center at impact and in the follow through, if you want to have the perfect swing.
