Negosentro.com | If you ask any businessman what dating has to do with business you most likely will get a blank stare and even a head butt. Ok, maybe not a head butt, but he will definitely think you’ve lost your mind. That’s because when people think of either one. they don’t realize that business follows many of the same principles as dating. As a matter of fact, I’d say that business can teach you way more about dating than dating can teach about business.
According to Alex Wise a co-founder of Loveawake dating site: “if you think about it for a few, and you realize that when you do business, you follow the same pattern as when you’re trying to court a woman.”
- Decide what type of business you are interested in.
- Who is your target market?
- How do you find your target market?
- Why would your target market buy from you instead of the competition?
- How do you gain the trust of your target market?
- And how do you keep your target market as a steady customer?
What Type of Business You Are Interested In?
Before you start a business, you have to decide what type of business interests you. Do you want to start a dry cleaners? Car wash?
How would you start a business without knowing what type is right for you? The same goes for dating. If you don’t know what your needs are in a woman, how would you have an idea whether a woman you meet could be right for you? Alex says, “to avoid ending up in one unfulfilling, disastrous relationship after another, know yourself and your needs before venturing out. Dating a woman who has a personality you hate or a lifestyle you completely disagree with is a waste of your time and will only lead to unhappiness.”
Who Is Your Target Market?
When starting a business, it is always a good idea to know who might be interested in the products or services that you’re selling. That way, you’ll be able to determine who to market to and how to market to them, and get them to be your loyal customer.
It’s the same with dating. Once you know who you are and what your needs are, you will have an idea of the type of woman you want in your life, and can figure out how you can play up your best personal aspects in order to appeal to the women you want.
Never pretend to be someone you are not in order to get a date, because the women who would date you would most likely not be right for you, and your relationships with them would just be miserable.
How Do You Find Your Target Market?
Now that you know who your target market is, how do you find them? Where do they hang out? What are their interests? By knowing where to find your target market, you can put your time and resources into reaching them instead of guessing and wasting your valuable resources. Same thing applies to dating. If you’re the type of guy who doesn’t drink and doesn’t like women who are drinkers, then why would you spend all your time looking in a bar overpaying for soda all night?
Why Would Your Target Market Buy From You Instead of the Competition?
Now that you’ve found your target audience, what would make them buy from you instead of your competition? What do you offer that the competition doesn’t? How do you distinguish yourself from the competition?
The same principles apply when you’re trying to get a date. Out of all the guys that she meets during the day, why would she date you instead of them? Do you have anything interesting going on in your life that would allow you to have stimulating conversations instead of using pick up lines? Do you have a good job that enables you to afford to travel or provide for your family (if you decide to have one with her)? Or will she have to support you because you’re a lazy bum? Are you well-groomed and dress well, or do you wear torn and stained clothes like the majority of men out there? The bottom line is: what makes you better than the other guys out there and makes you stand out from the rest?
How Do You Gain The Trust of Your Target Market?
Once you have your target market interested in your products and services, how do you gain their trust? You gain trust by not only treating them with fairness and respect before they buy from you, but also during and after the sale. Don’t just give them a discount once and then charge full price and stop giving great customer service because you already made a sale. Same thing applies to a woman. Don’t talk nice to a woman and buy her nice things just to get her into bed and then start ignoring her calls afterward. Women will realize that you’re just out to use them and will not only stop bothering with you but will tell others so that you will get a bad reputation. Like in business, word of mouth goes a long way.
How Do You Keep Your Target Market as a Steady Customer?
Customers love it when they know that you’re putting their best interest first instead of just trying to sell to them. Whenever you go the extra mile while helping a customer or help them save money when you really didn’t have to, you establish yourself as someone who is not only trustworthy but worthy of doing business with over the competition.
Imagine doing something special for a woman because of a special occasion or because you truly love her and want to make her feel like the most special woman in the world instead of just a trick to get her into bed. It creates a much stronger bond when you show that you truly mean it for real.
