Tourist Visa

This is the type of visa you apply for if you want to visit Australia for business or tourism purposes. There are three types of tourist visas:

eVisitor (651) which is free and only available for several countries in Europe, Visitor visa(600), and Electronic Travel Authority visa (601). The type of tourist visa you apply will depend on the price, your passport purpose, and the length of your visit.

  • Letter explaining your travel plan

  • Return flight ticket

  • Proof that will return home i.e proof that you are a student in your home country or have a job to come back to.
  • Proof that you can support yourself financially throughout your stay.
  • An invitation letter from a friend or relative in Australia. This letter should state your relationship, purpose, and length of your visit as well as your accommodation details for Australian Immigration.

Student Visa(500)

If you want to study and work in Australia, this is the best option for you. For you to be eligible for an Australian student visa, you must enroll in a course that will last for at least two and a half months. The visa covers the study period plus an additional vacation time depending on the duration of your study.

Work and Holiday Visa(417)

With a Work and Holiday visa, you get a residence permit for at least 12 months in Australia.

  • Price is $ 485 AUD
  • This option is not available for all nations
  • Age is 18-30 years except for Canada, France, and Ireland which extend to 35 years
  • You must have an official English degree which is equal to a B2(not applicable to English speaking nations)
  • Must be financially capable of covering your stay in Australia
  • You cannot be accompanied by your spouse nor your children
  • Online or postal application is opened on July 1st every year. The mode of application will depend on your nationality.
  • Valid for 1 year but expandable to 3 years depending on various factors.
  • Documents
  • Valid passport (for Australian Immigration Visa)
  • Proof of funds I.e an original copy of your bank statement (at least $5000 AUD) 
  • Proof of good health
  • A return ticket or proof that you can afford one
  • 2 recent passport size photos with your name printed at the back of the photos
  • Medical Health certificate
  • An original copy of your Birth Certificate showing the names of both your parents
  • Relevant police certificates
