To compile the list of “Most Influential and successful Women in Technology”, we asked our readers to highlight ,  the unacknowledged and under-appreciated tech stars,  based on their achievements through creativity and hard work. Tech is a hot and exciting sector, and it’s good to see more and more women getting involved, like Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and HP’s Meg Whitman or Google’s Marisa Mayer.

Rebecca R. Rhoads – vice president and chief information officer of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN). As chief information officer, Rhoads provides expert counsel to senior management, and is responsible for Information Technology (IT) strategy, functions, processes, and people company-wide and globally. This includes IT architecture, systems, networks, investments, information protection and assurance, and IT supplier relationships. Information Technology is used in the sale, design, build, procurement, delivery, and support of all Raytheon products and services.

Michelle Zatlyn, co-founder and Head of User Experience at CloudFlare. Michelle creates products people love, applying the scientific method to improving businesses. Prior to CloudFlare, she worked at Google and Toshiba, and launched two successful startups. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a minor in Management with Distinction from McGill University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School where she was awarded the Dubliner Prize for Entrepreneurship.

Elisabet de los Pinos, Founder and CEO Aura Biosciences – Elisabet de los Pinos has created Aura Biosciences from the ground up: from concept, through patents in her name, fundraising and incorporation, to today’s pre-clinical research and strategic partnerships. She is passionate about eradicating cancer and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Julia Hartz, president and co-founder Eventbrite, Prior to co-founding Eventbrite with her husband, Kevin Hartz, Julia enjoyed a career in Television Development at MTV Networks and FX Networks. She was fortunate enough to be a part of acclaimed shows such as Jackass, Nip/Tuck, The Shield, Rescue Me, and Morgan Spurlock’s 30 Days.
